ISLAMABAD: A Spanish diplomat has allegedly committed suicide in the federal capital, according to police reports.
A Spanish diplomat was found dead on Thursday at his residence in F-7/2 area and a pistol was also recovered. The case seems to be an incident of suicide. Authorities reached the area and shifted the body to PIMS for medico-legal formalities.
According to officials, the Spanish diplomat had been working as Consular Attaché in Islamabad for the last 34 years and had been married twice – but both his wives left him. He was also receiving medical treatment at a private hospital, the officials said. Police has launched an investigation in the matter.
