ISLAMABAD: Former Interior Minister Rehman Malik, on Monday discussed various matters regarding the state of the c
ountry, including that the government should pre
sent the issue of the military courts in the National Assembly considering that it had a two thirds majority in the parliament.

ued on Monday he said the nation had to accept the prevalence of ex
traordinary decisions in ex
traordinary circumstances. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) member said that his par
ty had always taken decisions on the war on terror with national interest in mind.
He said that an indiscriminate operation against terrorism in the c
ountry was the need of hour. He added by saying that the government had been informed of the presence of Daesh in the c
ountry two years ago however it had kept on denying it.
Malik remarked that the recent steps taken by the Pakistan army against terrorism were according to the aspirations of the people and the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the forces against terrorism.
He said a letter had been written to Prime Minister a year back informing him about the India-Afghanistan nexus against Pakistan, adding that the PM had been advised to raise the Kulbushan Yadav issue on the United Nations forum.
