ISLAMABAD–Police have beefed upsecurity arrangements of various pivotal government and private buildings to avoid any untoward incident in the federal capital.
Security agencies had intimated the department that security threats have been received against key buildings in the city, a police official told APP.The government buildings in the Red Zone, educational institutions -including universities and colleges – and big hotels have been declared sensitive, he added.
The official also said that the government has tightened the security and has deployed police and rangers’ personnel. He said security pickets have been increased at various points of the city to detectany outward incident.
As many as 26 vehicles of rangers and quick response force have been deputed for patrolling in the federal capital.
